An Unforgettable Night

Under the bright moonlight and a thousand stars shining down on us
I let myself be swept with a Prince Charming in his black Ford and not a white horse
With his eyes that add brightness to the darkness of the night
And his lips that knows how to compliment a girl and put a smile for a good sight
On the hill where the city lights are overlooking, we sat
Talk about life, like it wasn't the first time we met
So comfortable not noticing the evident fact that we barely knew each other
How can someone give you comfort at first met?
A shrug and ignorance is an answer.
But I guess this fairy tale was never supposed to have a happy ending
Like how Cinderella got to marry his Prince Charming
And how Snow White got to have a family with her own Prince
Our fairy tale reached the ending before it even started
It was a taste of how perfect time can be with someone
And have it taken away by the same person you thought was the one
But that was an unforgettable night that I will hold on and keep in memory
It was a night to treasure and be thankful for
Because for once, I got to feel that I touched someone's heart
Gave peace and calmed down a troubled mind
Like how he gave my heart peace and calmed my mind with his decision to end whatever we had
