Just like a tattoo

with your touch and kiss, on my lips, we begin

it lingers on my body like the tattoo on your skin

the warmth of your arms wrapped around me tonight

like a core memory engraved, it stayed even at first light

the way you talk, the softness of your deep manly voice

day in and day out echoes in my head like a white noise

yes you will probably hurt me, make me cry, and sad

but that doesn't matter because you're the one I wish I had
